Dr Shengyu Wang is an Associate Curator at the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM).
She is a China Oxford Scholarship Fund awardee with a DPhil in archaeology from the University of Oxford, focusing on auspicious ornament and art in early China. She double-majored in Museology and Chinese Literature in Peking University as an undergraduate.
Shengyu made curatorial contributions to the opening exhibitions at HKPM in 2022, and co-leads special exhibitions including the one that examines new archaeological discoveries of the unparalleled Bronze Age Sanxingdui culture in southwest China in 2023. She has lectured and written on art institutions and collective memories in mainland China, Hong Kong, and the UK. She was also involved in exhibitions and catalogue projects at Shanghai Museum and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, and has participated in archaeological excavations in China and the UK.
